State Health Plan site

A statewide group plan, which covers hospital and medical expenses, is available to employees at no additional cost.  Family and dependent coverage is available at the employee's expense.

NC Flex Site

NC Flex offers nine voluntary benefits (pre-tax):

To participate in NCFlex, you must work 20 or more hours per week in a permanent, probationary or time-limited position.

 

Workers' Compensation

WC Site

The State pays for on-the-job injury or job connected illness or death through Workers' Compensation


Disability Income Plan

Employees are eligible after one year of state service for short term disability; they are eligible for long-term disability after five years of service

Unemployment Insurance

Office of State Human Resources maintains a centralized Unemployment Insurance Cost Management Program to provide effective claims administration and control of benefit costs. 

Employee Assistance Program

The Employees Assistance Program is a confidential service of North Carolina State Government designed to assist state government employees and their immediate family members resolve personal problems before they disrupt personal or work life.  The service is provided at no charge to the employee.
